Ian is a litigation partner with seventeen years experience in insurance law. He is qualified as a Solicitor Advocate and is a former tutor in civil advocacy at Edinburgh University.
Ian has built up a wealth of experience in all types of insurance litigation, but has a particular interest in environmental / industrial disease claims.
He has acted for a large number of companies and insurers in defending actions relating to asbestos, HAVS, deafness, occupationally related cancers and stress. He has also been instructed in less common claims, including those arising from organophosphate poisoning and dermatitis.
