George is a senior litigation partner with over 35 years experience. While George is experienced in all aspects of insurance related litigation, he has a particular interest in Court of Session litigation and insurance fraud.
He is qualified as a Solicitor Advocate and is one of only five Solicitor Advocates to be appointed as a QC.
George is highly ranked in the Chambers Guide to the Legal Profession as a leading practitioner in Professional Negligence work. He is on the Law Society of Scotland’s panel of nominated lawyers handling claims against solicitors dealt with under the Society’s Master Policy. He also receives instructions in respect of negligence claims against accountants and surveyors.
George is a member of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers and a former vice president of the Society of Solicitor Advocates. He was a part time Chairman of Industrial Tribunals (Scotland) between 1987 and 1997 and a member of the Sheriff Court Rules Council from 1987 to 1995.
